Example: choose between foundation and tableau

A red six can move to its foundation, but it can also hold a black five and reveal a hidden card. At that moment, revealing the card usually creates more options.

1. Check whether the card helps uncover a tableau column.
2. Consider whether building the foundation would block a useful run.
3. Prefer the reversible move or the one that reveals new information.

Common mistakes and how to correct them

• Automatically building foundations while cards are still needed on the tableau.
• Emptying a column without a useful king ready to occupy it.

When one of these situations appears, pause before repeating the same input. Identify the earlier decision that created the problem; the useful correction normally happens one or two moves before the visible failure.

A short practice plan

Play one deal while focusing only on revealing as many cards as possible before cycling the stock repeatedly.

Use three to five games for the same objective and compare the pattern, not only the best isolated score. Consistency is the clearest sign that the strategy is becoming a habit.
